The discover is the central hub for discovering jobs, gigs, and talent on PortfoliOOo. It's designed to facilitate direct and meaningful connections with no middlemen. When you express interest, you start a direct, private conversation.
For Professionals (Job Seekers)
Your Goal: Find a full-time or part-time job.
Find Jobs Tab: This is where you browse job announcements posted by Recruiters.
Your Action: Find a job you like and click "Express Interest". This sends your initial message directly to the recruiter and opens a private chat for that job application.
Post Intro Tab: This is where you create your own post to showcase your skills and tell recruiters what you are looking for.
What Happens: Your "Introduction" post appears in the "Find Talent" tab for Recruiters, allowing them to discover you and initiate a conversation.
For Freelancers
Your Goal: Find project-based or contract work.
Find Gigs Tab: Browse freelance projects and contract requirements posted by Clients.
Your Action: Find a project you're interested in and "Express Interest." This sends a direct message to the client, starting a private conversation about the gig.
Post Proposal Tab: Create your own "Proposal" post to market your specific skills and services.
What Happens: Your proposal appears in the "Find Freelancers" tab for Clients, making it easy for them to find and hire you for their projects.
For Recruiters
Your Goal: Hire talented professionals for your company.
Find Talent Tab: Discover and browse "Introduction" posts from Professionals and Freshers who are actively or passively looking for opportunities.
Your Action: When you find a promising candidate, "Express Interest" to start a private conversation with them about a potential role.
Post Job Tab: This is where you create job announcements to attract applicants.
What Happens: Your job post appears in the "Find Jobs" tab for Professionals. When they express interest, you receive their application as a direct message, allowing you to manage all candidates in one place.
For Clients
Your Goal: Hire skilled freelancers for specific projects.
Find Freelancers Tab: Browse through "Proposal" posts from freelancers showcasing their services and expertise.
Your Action: When you find a freelancer that fits your needs, "Express Interest" to initiate a private conversation and discuss your project.
Post Gig Tab: Create a "Gig Posting" detailing your project's scope, budget, and requirements.
What Happens: Your gig appears in the "Find Gigs" tab for Freelancers. They can then express interest, sending their proposals directly to you in a private message.
